I had a recent chest xray for work purposes and the impression stated: coarse left perihilar interstitial markings and questionable calcified nodule left upper lobe, may represent sequel of prior infection. I never had this findings before. I was dx with possible meningioma few months back. so far, they told me the best route is Cyberknife because of it s location.
Your chest X ray shows the following (i) Prominent lung markings around the area where the left lung is connected to the large airway. This is not a serious concern and shows that there might be slight hyperactive airways in the area and can be due to a mild infection in the recent past.
(ii) There is a suspicious calcified nodule in the left lung upper lobe. A nodule is any round opacity in the lung measuring lesser than 3 cm. Your nodule seems to be small and doubtful. A calcified nodule is usually benign unless specified. It is due to any old infection causing calcium deposition.
If there is respiratory symptoms then a CT scan chest is advised.
Meningioma is a common tumor of the outer covering of brain and cyberknife is a good option to treat it keeping in mind its location. Please do not worry.
